Celebrating Sweet 16 Instead of a Quinceanera

Some girls might like to celebrate a sweet 16 birthday instead of a Quinceanera. In actuality, both celebrations are loosely based on the same ideas. These ideas are that the girl has reached a stage where she is entering adulthood and accept the responsibilities connected to these ages. The Quinceanera is more based on tradition than the sweet sixteen.
