CHOOSING THE RIGHT QUINCEANERA SHOES

©2007QuinceaneraInfo.com

Choosing expensive quinceanera shoes doesn’t necessarily mean choosing the better and right shoes for you. There are several types of shoes for several events in your life. The working shoes have several qualities that you cannot find in your walking shoes or in your party shoes.

When choosing any types of shoes, make sure that you consider the 4 areas of your feet. These include the heel counter, or the posterior area that shapes the shoe and inhibits the foot from rolling out of the shoe; the upper sole, which is found in the higher area of the shoes; the mid sole, which is the area that protect the foot’s arch so it needs a lot of cushion in this area; and the toe box, which is the part that covers the toe areas.

Now that you are already aware of the different areas of the foot, you should also understand how you could distinguish your feet arches with the use of a footprint. When the footprint shows only the ball area and the foot area, then this is considered as a high arch. This type of feet needs sufficient cushions in shoes because it cannot take in shock very well. A footprint that shows the entire foot means that you have a flat arch and you need lesser cushion but you need to have more support as well as control in the heel area. The last type of feet is the normal arch and this is when the footprint shows the half of the arch. This type of foot is balanced and can easily fit to any type of shoe.

In choosing shoes for the Quinceañera, make sure that you consider several things such as:

· Design of the shoes The design should compliment the gown. If the gown is fully beaded, you can go for the simple and yet elegant design. You can also ask a shoemaker to create a shoe using the same fabric as the gown.

· Color of the shoesGo for the basic colors so that you can still use this shoe with other outfits. A shoe with basic color can also be paired with any gowns for other occasions.

· Quality of the shoes Since you will be dancing the whole night, go for the right shoes that complement the arch and sole of your feet. Look for a design wherein there is enough cushion and support for the feet. In line with this, it is also better if you buy 2 pairs of the same kind of shoe. This is because one will be used for the rehearsals and for the choreography of the dance presentation and the other one will be used on the day itself.

Aside from these, here are some tips for shoe buying:

· It is best to shop for shoes in the afternoon. This is because the feet have already swelled bringing out the correct size of the feet. · If it is your first time to wear high-heeled shoes, look for the heel height that is not too high. Be familiar with the height of the heel first before wearing it on the day. If you cannot last with a high-heeled shoe, you can always bring alternative footwear with you but with the same height of heel.· Buy your quinceanera shoes in time for the first fitting of your gown. The length of the gown will be based on your height when you are already wearing your shoes. · If you find the leather of the shoe to be tough, you can apply a little moisturizer on the inside area. This will soften the leather a bit.

Shoes add to the personality of the wearer. Choose the right shoe and you will surely enjoy your celebration more.
