Quinceanera Planning Made EasyA young girl’s Quinceanera is one of the most highlighted events of her life. This very traditional transition of a young girl to an adult has many symbolic traditions, which are founded in Aztec and Mexican beliefs and culture. Quinceanera planning on the other hand can be as big an event as a wedding celebration. What would it take for you to have a successful celebration? For one, it is best to book the church for the Quinceanera ceremony and the venue for your reception early. Most young girls are given the privilege of choosing where they would want to have their Quinceanera as long as it is within their parents’ budget. Most would like to have their celebration at a country club or a ballroom at a hotel. Country clubs are usually exclusive to members and their family but some country clubs allow outsiders to have a celebration there. Hotel venues are also a great idea. Some hotels offer a free room if the celebration is a big one and you and your family can use this room for changing. One thing you have to make sure is to book the reception venue in advance because many hotels or country clubs have limited ballrooms or spaces for large functions. The larger the venue, the more decorations you will need for the celebration. Decide on your motif or the theme of the event. Remember, you can choose a color motif or a theme from which you will base the rest of the decorations. You can choose to order balloons instead of flowers if you are on a tight budget for decorations. Balloons cover a lot of space and are cheaper then flowers. Also, some balloons come in many shapes and sizes. The ones that come in different shapes, heart, flowers etc, are usually more expensive than the round or oval shaped balloons. Some more modern Quinceanera celebrations reflect the personality of the young lady. If you like butterflies, you can incorporate butterfly decorations and other themed décor into your party to show your likes. Other girls like the color pink and use a color theme for their Quinceanera. On the other hand, some young girls who are set to be young adults would like to embrace their impending womanhood and would like to create a more grown up atmosphere for their Quinceanera. A more formal adult party is usually followed if the celebrant wishes to have a semblance of an adult party. When doing your quinceanera planning you might also like to put up swathes of cloth in solid colors to make the venue more interesting. These can be used to lessen the monotony of the ceiling. You might also like to go with the season when it comes to flowers and colors. Red, green and gold for the Christmas season, pastels for Easter and bright orange and lime green for summer. It would also be wise to list down those individuals whom you wish to be your damas or chamberlains during your Quinceanera planning. These are usually friends and relatives of similar or near ages as you. In some cases, older friends and relatives are among those who attend to the celebrant. You might make a lengthy list of those who are your initial choices. It is best not to make decisions as far as six months before the affair since a lot can happen, disagreements, fights and even moving out. You do need to make a decision a month or two before the celebration. Why? The reason is that you will be printing out your invitations by then. Most invitations will include a separate sheet of vellum or paper that list down your sponsors or the people who will participate in your dance. Basically, it is best to prepare for such a memorable event at least a year or more than six months before. This is to make sure that you realize what you want instead of missing out on many things because of poor planning.
