Hair Straightening TipsSo maybe you are approaching your Quinceanera with curly hair, but you have made the decision that you would love to have straight hair for the occasion. Well fear not, all that is necessary is for your have your hair straightened. However, there are some rather important rules to follow when straightening your hair. Listed below are some simple but great tips to follow in order to achieve superb straight hair. First, if you are planning to straighten your own hair, then it is important to invest in a pair of good quality straightening irons. If you have very long hair, then it may be worth investing in the wider irons. You can always visit your regular hair stylist and ask their opinion of which brand is best. Ensure that you purchase a protective spray for your hair. These are widely available and they smooth and soften the hair whilst you are using your straightening irons, which will protect your hair from thermal damage. Wash your hair as normal before using straightening irons, but do ensure that you use a deep conditioner as straightening irons can dry the hair. Towel dry your hair to get rid of as much moisture as possible, then spray on a leave-in conditioner. Comb your hair using a wide toothed comb and part your hair. Use a hair dryer to dry your hair with a blow-dryer extension so that you can place the hairdryer up close to the hair and brush. Now comes the time to separate your hair ready for the straightening process. Place the top half of your hair up into a bun. Then divide the bottom half of your hair into small sections. Spray the section of hair that you are about to straighten with your protective spray and run a comb through the hair to remove any knots. Hold that section of hair with one hand and use the other to clamp the straightening irons as close to your roots as possible. Hold the hair firmly in the straightening irons. Pull the straightening irons over the small section of hair in one fluid movement. If your hair is not straight after doing this, then do not fear, just place the irons through that section of hair again. It is normal to see steam rising from your hair when you are straightening it so do not be alarmed when this happens. This is because the straightening irons are extremely hot and when there is still moisture on the hair as well as the protective spray then the steam will appear. Continue to work around your hair on the different sections until the lower part of your hair is complete. Then begin to straighten the top section of your hair that you have had in the bun. Check in the mirror and examine your hair to ensure that you have not missed any. If you notice that certain sections are not straight then simply go over them with the straightening irons again. Once your hair is fully straightened then you can style it in the way that you have chosen. It is of great importance that once your hair is straightened that you then use a small amount of silicone based hair shine solution. However, you only need a few drops. Rub the solution between your hands and smooth over the hair. This will help to protect your hair and prevent frizz during your special occasion.
