Hair Brush

When you want to make sure that your hair looks great for your big day, you'll find that one of the most important tools that you will have at your disposal is your hair brush! What you may not know, however, is the fact that not all hair brushes are not created equal, and while some are okay for your hair, others are simply terrific, while still others are just awful. Take some time and make sure that you know about what you are using on your hair.

In the first place, if you have a brush with plastic bristles and the little balls on the the end of the bristles, you should get rid of it. While this type of bristle might feel good on your scalp, keep in mind the fact that these bristles can be very hard on your hair. Because the plastic is rather rigid, it will catch up tangles and then snap the separate strands.

If you can hear snapping or tearing when you brush your hair, it is time to get a new brush. Too much snapping and tearing will lead to split ends on your hair that will only get worse over time.

On the other hand, you'll find that there are a number of different brushes out there that can do quite well for you. If, for instance, you have curly or wavy hair that you like to straighten out, take a look at a round bristle brush. In general, the wider the brush is, the straighter your hair will tend to be after you brush it.

Take a look around for a round boar bristle brush. When you are looking to do a lot of shaping as well as add a beautiful, healthy sheen to your hair, this type of brush is idea. The natural fibers will also tend take the natural oils at the top of your head and brush them down to the ends, which tend to be more dry and prone to damage.

If you have straight or just slightly way hair and you feel inclined to brush, think about getting a flat paddle brush with boar bristles. Once again, this is a great way to tame your hair down and to make sure that it behaves in the way that you would like it to.

Depending on your hair and what you want to do with it, you may find that you are in a place where you want to think about just using a comb. Especially if you have hair that is very wild and that will static up the moment you apply a brush to it, you'll soon find a comb can be much more useful over all. For the purposes of separating out your hair, consider a plastic comb with no rough lines on the teeth or a wooden comb that will help you keep your hair healthy with natural oil.

Take some time and look into carefully choosing what comb or you are going to use; this can make a big difference on your hair!
