Flat Iron Or Curling Iron?It is always important for girls to look good and at her best. Although we cannot aim for perfection all the time, it is nonetheless crucial to be the "total package". For your quinceanera, for instance, you will want to look stunning - the shoes, the clothes, the make-up, and the hair. When you want to get all dolled-up, you tend to want to look different from what you normally are. For example, if you have curly hair, you'll want it straight; on the other hand, if you have straight hair, you'll want it all curly. Thank all the styling gods then for curling irons and flat irons that abound on this earth! A naturally straight hair is something half of the female population hankers for; the other half does not. Chances are, the other half that does not want straight hair is those that have it! Their savior? The curling iron! If you have straight hair and want to have curly hair sometimes, then the curling iron can be your best friend. Here are 5 tips on using the curling iron: * When you buy a curling iron, you will notice that it has several accessories in the box with it. This is to allow you to choose between big, bold curls, or small, tight ones. You can even choose if you just want to put spirals or zigzags in your hair. * Curl your hair when it is completely dry. Curling wet hair will not get you anywhere near the locks you want. As an added protection, you can buy products for the hair that can help with the heat. * If you have long hair, the best area to start curling is at the back of the head. On the other hand, shorthaired girls should start on top, at the crown. * Have some clips within reach so you can separate strands of hair for better curling results. A couple of inches thick of your hair would be ideal. Start curling from the tip until you reach your scalp. Do this to the rest of your hair. * When you are done, set the style with a holding spray and don't comb your locks. Use your fingers instead. If you have unruly hair that is neither straight nor curly, the best friend you will have for bad hair days is the flat iron. Here are five tips in using the flat iron: * The flat iron uses heat to straighten out your hair. It is best that you buy a product that will protect your locks from the heat. Otherwise, the damage will take long to repair. * For slightly wet hair, you may use straightening products that is also a thermal protector. You will need to dry your hair so you can use a blow dryer, combing or brushing through your hair like on a usual day. * If your hair is already dry, you can use a hair-smoothing product that can help tame your hair. Use very little as your hair might get too oily, causing it to look damp and limp. Get some pins ready and pin your hair up, leaving one level of hair by the nape area. * Apply the flat iron from about an inch away from the scalp don to the end. Continue until all the sections of your hair are done. * Finally, apply a little bit more of that smoothing serum and you are all ready to go!
